What is Scope in Sales Career ?
During my interactions, with students or job seekers I am often asked What is scope in Sales Or Is Sales a Good Career option?
I always answer this question as "Well, it Depends".Period.
So I thought it appropriate to share my thoughts on this question about how Sales can be a good career option for some and not for others.
I love travelling but my wife hates it.
She loves gossiping and I hate it.
Every person has his/her own likes and dislikes.
Different things interest different people.
Every profession has its own pros and cons.
Every legitimate coin has a head and a tail.
Every positive has a negative to accompany it.
Some professions suit some and not others.
Sales profession too is not immune to this rule of life.
Those who love meeting people, visiting different places love sales.
And those who do not love the company of others may not like being in sales.
People who love travelling and visiting new places thrive in sales.
While for those who do not like even though of travelling, sales is a strict no no.
So you see it varies from person to person.
If you are hard working, have good people skills and love travelling you will love sales.
If you can withstand pressure of targets and love meeting people then sales will suit you.
Beauty of every profession lies in the mindset and attitude of the beholder.
And just like any profession there is huge scope in sales job in terms of career growth, salary and incentives etc.
